Calibration, service and repair
We calibrate water quality sensors and the equipment used to build and maintain water infrastructure.
Water quality and electrochemical sensor calibration
pH, ORP, dissolved oxygen and conductivity sensors and meters.
Trade waste monitoring systems
We take the samples and give you a report.
GF electrofusion welder calibration
We are the authorised GF service agent in Western Australia.
On-site and field calibration
Calibration of installed instruments at your plant.
Pressure gauge calibration
Gauges and transmitters, plus backflow prevention test kits.
Gas detector calibration
Detectors used in pump stations, wet wells and confined spaces.
Why sensor calibration matters
Electrochemical sensors drift as they age and foul. A pH or dissolved oxygen reading that is slightly out can mean over-dosing chemicals, wasted aeration energy, or a discharge that is out of licence without anyone knowing.
Regular calibration against known buffer and standard solutions keeps readings honest and gives you a record to show your regulator.
Water projects we have worked on
A selection of jobs we have done for water utilities, councils and treatment operators.
- Flow metering and data logging on sewer pump stations in a remote WA community.
- Flow monitoring on a vacuum sewer system in central Perth.
- Effluent pond flow measurement at a wastewater facility.
- H2S data logging in sewer networks.
- Telemetry data loggers for regional water suppliers.
- Instrumentation for wastewater treatment plants in WA and interstate.
Common questions from water operators
How often should pH and dissolved oxygen sensors be calibrated?
Twelve months is a common formal interval, but sensors in demanding service need checking more often, with routine checks against buffer and standard solutions in between. See water quality sensor calibration.
Do you do trade waste sampling?
Yes. We are an authorised Water Corporation service provider for trade waste. We take the samples and give you a report. See trade waste monitoring.
Can you help choose a flow meter for an existing pipe?
Yes. Tell us the pipe size and material, what is flowing and whether the line can be cut. We will recommend a full-bore electromagnetic meter or an insertion meter that fits without major pipework changes.
