Torque Wrench Calibration
Hinco Instruments calibrates click-type, mechanical and digital torque wrenches from 10 to 1,000 N·m in our Canning Vale laboratory in Perth, WA. Customers anywhere in Australia can post their wrenches to us for calibration.
Every wrench is checked against traceable reference equipment and returned with a certificate recording the as-found and as-left results, backed by seventy years of instrumentation service in Western Australia.
Need your torque wrenches calibrated?
Tell us the wrench type, make, model and torque range, and how many units. We will come back with a quote and turnaround.
Want to check wrenches in-house?
We supply torque wrench calibration equipment, including the LR-Cal LFC 80 torque wrench calibration tool.

Torque wrenches we calibrate
Click-type torque wrenches
The most common workshop and site wrench. The release point drifts with use and with being stored wound up, so the click can come early or late without any visible sign.
Mechanical (dial and beam) wrenches
Indicating wrenches are checked against the torque shown on the scale across the working range, so you know the reading can be trusted before it goes on a job record.
Digital torque wrenches
Electronic wrenches and their displayed readings are verified across the range. A digital display looks precise whether or not the sensor behind it still is.
Why torque wrench calibration matters
Under-tightened fasteners work loose; over-tightened ones stretch, strip or crack. Neither is visible when the job is signed off, which is why mining, maintenance and fabrication teams keep torque tools on a calibration schedule and hold the certificate against the work.
Sending wrenches from interstate
You do not need to be in Perth. Wherever you are in Australia, including Adelaide, the eastern states and regional WA, you can post or courier your torque wrenches to our Canning Vale laboratory and we will return them calibrated with the certificate. Request a quote first and we will confirm the details for your wrenches.
Good to know
How often to calibrate
Twelve months is the usual interval. Shorten it where a wrench is in daily site use, has been dropped or overloaded, or is about to be used on work that will be audited.
Tell us your due dates and we will remind you when wrenches fall due, so calibration is scheduled rather than discovered during an audit.
Certificates and turnaround
Every calibration is issued with a certificate recording the as-found and as-left condition, the reference standards used and their traceability.
Where a wrench fails calibration, we will tell you what is wrong and what a repair would involve before doing the work.
Need it back fast? Priority calibration is available for an additional fee. Call us on 08 9455 6777 or contact us to book.
