Hinco Instruments is the authorised service agent in Western Australia for Georg Fischer electrofusion welding equipment. We calibrate, service and support GF+ fusion units, including the MSA 2.1 Automatic Electrofusion Unit, from our Canning Vale workshop.
An electrofusion joint is only as good as the energy delivered to it. The unit controls voltage and fusion time to melt the fitting and pipe together, and if those output parameters drift the joint can look perfect and still be weak. Nothing about a bad fusion is visible from the outside — which is exactly why the welder itself has to be verified rather than trusted.

What the service covers
We verify that the unit delivers its programmed output within specification and that its measurement and control functions are working correctly, then issue a calibration certificate recording the as-found and as-left condition. Who needs it
Anyone jointing pipework under a quality plan. A current calibration certificate for the welder is usually part of the evidence an asset owner asks for.
How often
Twelve months is the usual cycle. Bring it forward if the unit has been dropped, has been in continuous site service, or is about to start audited work.
