Environmental Monitoring Instrument Calibration

Hinco Instruments provides traceable calibration for environmental monitoring instruments, serving customers across Australia from our Perth, WA base. Humidity meters, light and lux meters, sound level meters, tachometers, psychrometers and anemometers all drift with use, and in ventilation, workplace safety and compliance monitoring that drift is invisible until an audit or an incident exposes it.

Our ISO 9001 laboratory in Canning Vale calibrates the full range, with results traceable to national standards — backed by 70 years of instrumentation work in Western Australia.

Environmental instruments we calibrate

Anemometers

Vane, mechanical, thermal and small cup anemometers for mine ventilation surveys and HVAC commissioning. These have a page of their own, covering scope, range and certificates.

Anemometer calibration →

Humidity meter calibration

Relative humidity meters and hygrometers calibrated across their range, and combined instruments at three temperature and three humidity points.

See humidity probes →

Light and lux meter calibration

Illuminance and lux meters for workplace lighting assessments, emergency lighting verification and AS/NZS 1680 compliance. A common weak point in safety documentation.

Sound level meter calibration

Sound level meters for noise exposure assessment and workplace acoustic monitoring, where the reading goes into occupational health records or environmental reporting.

Tachometer and stroboscope calibration

Contact and non-contact tachometers and stroboscopes for rotational speed measurement in maintenance, condition monitoring and machinery commissioning.

Thermohygrograph and psychrometer

Chart-recording thermohygrographs and whirling psychrometers — older instruments still in service across laboratories, museums, storage facilities, data centres and agriculture.

Good to know

Combined temperature and humidity

Many environmental instruments measure both, and calibrating one without the other leaves half the instrument unverified. We calibrate both parameters at multiple points in a single service.

NATA-accredited temperature calibration →

Calibration intervals

Twelve months suits most environmental instruments. Shorten it for harsh conditions, a dropped or contaminated instrument, or where the measurement supports a compliance obligation or safety case.

Need it back fast? Priority calibration is available for an additional fee. Call us on 08 9455 6777 or contact us to book.

Buying as well as calibrating? We supply the instruments we calibrate. Browse our Vaisala and DwyerOmega ranges, temperature and humidity data loggers and weather stations. New instruments can be calibrated before they leave our Canning Vale lab.
