The Euromag MUT2200EL Electromagnetic Flowmeter, supplied by Hinco Instruments in Perth, Western Australia, is a flanged mag-flow sensor built for water-cycle and process applications. Its EL (Extended Linearity) design delivers a measurement range of more than 1:1000 without linearisation software, so it reads very low flow rates that ordinary converters would cut off while staying accurate at high flows.
Extended Linearity — Accurate Across a Very Wide Range
Built on the Faraday principle with an AISI 304 flow tube and dual coils, the MUT2200EL is wet-calibrated on an ISO 17025-traceable rig to an accuracy of 0.2% ± 2 mm/s (0.2% ± 1 mm/s on request) with repeatability of about 0.1%, and measures bi-directionally. It can be supplied MID / OIML R49 certified for custody transfer when paired with an MC406M converter, or OIML R49 with the MC608A.
Wide Size Range and Material Options
The MUT2200EL spans an exceptionally broad range of line sizes — DN15 up to DN2000 (½″ to 80″). The AISI 304 flow tube (AISI 316 optional), Hastelloy C electrodes (Hastelloy B, Titanium, Tantalum, Platinum optional) and a choice of PTFE lining (−40 to +130 °C, up to +180 °C on request; standard on DN15–DN100) or Ebonite (−40 to +80 °C; standard on DN125 and above) let the sensor be matched to potable water, wastewater and aggressive process liquids, muds and concretes.
Robust Construction for Buried and Flooded Sites
A welded plate structure encloses the coils and electrodes, and in the separate (remote) version the sensor carries an IP68 rating for permanent immersion to 1.5 m — ideal for flooded pits, buried pipelines and outdoor installations. An empty-pipe electrode is standard on DN50 and above, and a wide choice of flanges is available: EN 1092-1, ANSI 150/300/600/900, DIN 2501, BS 4504, and Australian AS 2129 / AS 4087.
Flexible Converter Pairing
The MUT2200EL sensor works with any Euromag converter — the battery-powered MC406 or the mains/hybrid MC608 (A/B/R/P/I) — in compact or remote configurations, with sensor-to-converter cable up to 100 m (30 m on battery versions). Optional integrated pressure and temperature sensors and a GSM/GPRS module make it well suited to leak-detection and pressure-management systems.
