The Euromag MUT2300 with MC608 converter, supplied by Hinco Instruments in Perth, Western Australia, is a mains-powered electromagnetic flow meter built for potable water, wastewater, irrigation and industrial process liquids. Its specially profiled measuring tube accelerates the flow to amplify the signal at the electrodes, delivering stable, repeatable readings across an exceptionally wide flow range — including the very low overnight flows that are critical for leak detection.
Zero Straight-Run Installation (U0-D0)
The cone-shaped internal profile of the MUT2300 optimises the flow so the meter can be installed almost anywhere — directly after bends, valves or reducers — with no upstream or downstream straight pipe runs. This OIML R49-certified U0-D0 capability gives installers exceptional flexibility while maintaining a negligible pressure drop (below 0.10 bar for DN≤80).
Robust Construction for Buried and Flooded Sites
A dedicated robot welds the sensor body, and internal parts are protected by a bi-component resin for maximum resistance to external agents. The complete sensor carries an IP68 rating for permanent submersion to 1.5 m, making it ideal for pit, buried and flooded-area installations. The AISI 304 flow tube, AISI 316 electrodes and hard-rubber Ebonite lining (WRAS, FDA and DM174 compliant) suit potable water, wastewater and fluids carrying suspended solids.
MC608 Converter — Complete Water Management
The MC608 converter makes the MUT2300 one of the most complete flow meters available. It provides pulse, 4–20 mA analog, frequency, Modbus and HART outputs, standard empty-pipe detection, and up to 100,000 lines of on-board datalogging. An optional GSM/GPRS module sends readings automatically via SMS, email or the euromagdata.com web portal, while optional pressure and temperature modules allow flow, pressure and temperature to be monitored together.
Accurate, Maintenance-Free Measurement
With no moving parts and no obstruction in the flow tube, the MUT2300-MC608 requires zero maintenance and no periodic cleaning. Each sensor is calibrated on an ISO 17025-traceable rig to an accuracy of 0.2% ± 2 mm/s (0.2% ± 1 mm/s on request) with repeatability of about 0.1%, and can be supplied MID / OIML R49 certified for custody transfer. It is available in DN50–DN300 with EN 1092-1 PN16, ANSI 150 and Australian AS 2129 / AS 4087 flange options.
