The 3M Dynatel Electronic Marker System (EMS) uses passive markers buried with underground assets such as pipes, cables, valves, joints and service connections. Each marker is tuned to a frequency associated with a type of utility, so crews can find the exact location later with a compatible locator.

Markers need no batteries and last for decades, making them a reliable way to record the position of non-metallic pipes and critical points that cannot be traced with a standard cable locator. iD markers can also store asset information. Use them with the Dynatel 2250M-iD locator from our test and measurement range.
