The Ametek Jofra ASM Advanced Signal Manager is a multi-function field calibrator that sources and measures temperature (TC and RTD), 4–20 mA, voltage, resistance and frequency signals, with a built-in HART modem and 24 V DC loop power supply. Intrinsically safe (ATEX/IECEx Zone 1) models are available. Available from Hinco Instruments in Perth, Western Australia.
The Ametek Jofra ASM Advanced Signal Manager is a comprehensive multi-function field calibrator designed to handle the full range of process instrument calibration tasks from a single, portable device. Whether calibrating temperature transmitters, testing 4–20 mA loops, communicating with HART smart instruments or verifying signal conditioning equipment, the ASM provides the capability of several individual instruments in one IP54-rated handheld unit.
The ASM sources and measures thermocouple signals (all standard types), RTD inputs (Pt100, Pt200, Pt500, Pt1000), 4–20 mA current loops, voltage (mV and V), resistance, frequency and pulse signals. The built-in 24 V DC loop power supply means the transmitter under test can be powered directly from the ASM without a separate source. The integrated HART modem provides full access to smart transmitter configuration, primary and secondary variable readout, and diagnostic data — eliminating the need for a separate HART communicator on calibration rounds.
On-board calibration record storage captures As Found and As Left data with time-stamps, and records can be downloaded to PC via USB and managed with compatible calibration management software. The rechargeable Li-ion battery provides up to 8 hours of operation. Intrinsically safe (ATEX/IECEx Zone 1) models are available for work in hazardous classified areas, making the ASM suitable for use in oil and gas, mining and petrochemical environments without a hot-work permit.
Hinco Instruments is an authorised Ametek Jofra distributor supplying the ASM Advanced Signal Manager to customers across Perth, Western Australia and nationally. The ASM is widely used in oil and gas facilities, power stations, mining operations, water utilities and process plants throughout Australia.
