Thermowells

Thermowells protect temperature sensors such as RTDs, thermocouples and bimetal thermometers from pressure, flow, corrosion and abrasion in pipes and vessels. They also allow a sensor to be removed for replacement or calibration without draining or shutting down the process.

Thermowells are available in threaded, flanged and weld-in styles, in stainless steel and other materials to suit the process fluid, with bore and insertion length matched to the sensor. Getting the length and profile right matters for both response time and resistance to flow-induced vibration. Tell us the process connection, pressure, fluid and sensor, and we will supply a matching thermowell and sensor, as well as NATA-accredited temperature calibration.
