The Skinner Innovations HST Heat Detector Test Kit is a portable, purpose-built tool for safely testing high-temperature probe heat detectors in the field. Verifying that fire-system heat detectors respond correctly is a critical safety and compliance task, and the HST gives technicians a fast, accurate and repeatable way to carry it out without removing detectors from service.
The kit features a 5/8 inch diameter test chamber and accepts a range of Fenwal DAF rate-compensated heat detectors (including models 27121, 28021 and 28020), as well as other probe heat detectors. It offers up to five user-selectable test temperatures across the high-temperature range (from 140 °F), so technicians can confirm each detector trips at its rated set-point. A large, clearly visible LED indicator shows test progress and status, remaining easy to read even when working at height on ladders or access platforms.
