The APCS PCM177 Pilot Cable Monitor ensures safe earth continuity through trailing and reeling cables in line with AS/NZS 2081. It continuously checks for open or short circuits between the pilot and earth conductors. If the loop resistance is too high or insulation drops below 600Ω, the unit triggers a fault. Built-in filtering removes unwanted AC interference. LED indicators clearly show power status and pilot cable health. Two fail-safe changeover relays (8A/250V) de-energize if faults occur or power is lost. The APCS PCM177 Pilot Cable Monitor supports two operation modes: local reset for automatic recovery, and latching mode with remote start requiring manual reset after faults. Designed for reliable monitoring, it helps maintain safe operations in mining and heavy industry.
