The Kikusui PBZ is an intelligent bipolar (4-quadrant) DC power supply that both sources and sinks current and swings its output smoothly through zero into negative voltage. Supplied and supported locally by Hinco Instruments in Perth, WA.
Operating continuously across all four quadrants, the PBZ is a fast bipolar source and an active load in one instrument. The range spans PBZ20-20 (±20 V / ±20 A) through PBZ40-10, PBZ60-6.7 and PBZ80-5, each rated at 400 W, and units combine in series or parallel for greater output.
An internal function/arbitrary generator superimposes AC or arbitrary waveforms on the DC output, making the PBZ ideal for ripple injection and transient/response testing without external signal sources. A high slew rate and wide bandwidth suit dynamic loads.
Battery and cell charge/discharge testing, motor, actuator and solenoid drive simulation, sensor and coil testing, and power-line ripple or transient injection.
