XgardIQ is an intelligent and versatile fixed detector and transmitter. Its remote sensor and universal transmitter means you have access to Crowcon’s full range of sensor technologies and improved detection. With its sensor range selection capabilities it means users can set the full-scale range of the sensor according to specific location requirements.
The Crowcon XgardIQ is Crowcon’s most intelligent fixed-point gas detector and transmitter, designed to increase safety by cutting the time operators spend in hazardous areas. Supplied, repaired and calibrated by Hinco Instruments in Perth, WA.
One transmitter, the full sensor range
A universal transmitter paired with local or remote sensors gives access to Crowcon’s complete sensor line-up — catalytic, MEMS and infrared for flammable gases, electrochemical for toxics including ammonia, carbon monoxide, chlorine, hydrogen fluoride, hydrogen sulphide, ozone and sulphur dioxide, plus long-life oxygen at 0–25% Vol. Users set the full-scale range to suit each location rather than ordering a fixed-range detector per point.
SIL2 certified, built for Zone 1
XgardIQ is SIL2 certified to IEC 61508 and carries ATEX, IECEx, FM, CSA and INMETRO approvals with an Ex db ia IIC T4 Gb rating. The 316 stainless steel enclosure is rated IP66, runs on 14–30 Vdc at under 4 W and takes three M20 or ½” NPT cable entries.
Integrates with any control system
Outputs are 4–20 mA sink or source with auto-sense selection, RS-485 Modbus RTU and optional HART® 7, with optional Alarm 1, Alarm 2 and Fault relays rated 5 A at 230 Vac. A 128 × 64 OLED display and four status LEDs give a clear reading at the detector, so routine checks do not need the cover opened.
The Crowcon Xgard Bright is an addressable fixed-point Gas Detector with a large OLED display and non-intrusive calibration. It combines 4-20mA, Modbus and optional HART over a 4-wire addressable design, with onboard alarm and fault relays for fast, low-maintenance installation.
The Crowcon Fgard IR3 flame detector is an explosion proof multi spectrum infrared (IR) flame detector, responding to hydrocarbon liquid fuel and gas fires even at long distances.
