The Zeal P2528 whirling hygrometer is a classic sling psychrometer built for accurate field measurement of relative humidity using the proven wet and dry bulb method. To take a reading, the operator wets the cotton sleeve on the wet bulb thermometer, then whirls the instrument through the air using the folding handle. Evaporation from the wet bulb lowers its temperature relative to the dry bulb, and the difference between the two readings is used with the supplied hygrometric tables to determine relative humidity. The P2528 is compatible with the optional Zeal P2524 carrying case for safe storage and transport.
