Valmet DS Dry Solids Measurement System

The Valmet DS Dry Solids Measurement System is available at Hinco Instruments as part of our Royce Water Technologies range. It is designed for post-dewatering dry cake solids measurement in wastewater treatment plants. Using microwave measurement technology, Valmet DS continuously measures dried sludge cake after centrifuges or screw presses, helping operators improve sludge dewatering control, polymer dosing, energy use and solids transportation.

Valmet DS provides real-time dry solids data, reducing the need to rely only on manual sampling and laboratory testing. The system extracts a continuous sample from the falling cake flow, measures the solids content, and returns the sample back to the process. This makes it suitable for wastewater treatment plants looking to improve process efficiency and reduce operating costs.
