HWM Pressure Transient Logger
The HWM Pressure Transient Data Logger monitors rapid pressure changes in water pipe systems, ideal for measuring water hammer. Completely submersible and portable, it features fast logging capability of up to 25 times per second, a large internal memory and a battery life of up to five years.
The HWM Pressure Transient Logger is a specialised data logger for monitoring rapid pressure changes in water pipe systems. It’s ideal for detecting pressure waves generated by pumps, pressure reducing valves, and other valves in pipe systems. The logger features a large internal memory and fast logging capability to ensure it captures the data you need.
Pressure transient spikes are a major cause of bursts, resulting in repair expenses, water loss, and supply interruptions. Conventional loggers can’t log rapidly enough to identify these transients which often last only seconds. The Pressure Transient Logger can log data up to 25 times per second.
The logger is supplied in portable mode only and is completely waterproof, submersible, and battery-powered. It won’t require maintenance for at least five years. It comes with one input for an external pressure transducer, and alternative pressure transducers can be supplied for special applications. External pressure sensors should preferably be located within 10 meters of the logger.
Halma Water Management’s range of Radcom data loggers and controllers are compatible with Radlog for Windows™, the industry standard for data trending, reporting, analysis, and archiving. In addition, specialist “Transient View” analysis software is capable of windowing down to one sample.
The HWM Pressure Transient Logger’s key benefits include a large internal memory of up to 8 million readings depending on sample rate and pressure variations, fast logging capability up to 25 times per second, completely submersible, no maintenance required for at least 5 years, 5-year battery life, portability, and specialist software supplied to enable detailed analysis.
