Ametek Jofra ASC-400

The Ametek Jofra ASC-400 Advanced Signal Calibrator is a versatile multi-function calibrator that covers temperature signal simulation and measurement alongside 4–20 mA, voltage and frequency calibration in a single portable instrument. For instrument technicians who need to calibrate temperature transmitters, verify analogue signal loops and test signal conditioning equipment during the same calibration round, the ASC-400 removes the need to carry multiple separate calibrators.

The ASC-400 simulates all standard thermocouple types (B, E, J, K, N, R, S, T) and RTD types including Pt100 and Ni100, allowing temperature transmitters to be calibrated by injecting a known temperature signal at the input — without requiring a dry block or reference bath. It simultaneously measures thermocouple and RTD inputs with cold junction compensation for verifying the transmitter output against the simulated input. For 4–20 mA loop calibration, the ASC-400 sources and measures 0–24 mA with a built-in 24 V DC loop power supply. Voltage measurement and sourcing in mV and V DC, and frequency sourcing and measurement, extend the instrument’s reach to signal conditioning equipment and frequency-output devices such as flow transmitters.

The rechargeable Li-ion battery provides up to 8 hours of operation, and the IP54-rated housing is designed for sustained field use. ATEX/IECEx Zone 2 certified models are available for calibration in hazardous classified areas. The dual LCD display shows source and measure values simultaneously for efficient single-operator calibration.
