The DwyerOmega FST-200 Thermal Dispersion Flow Switches provide a reliable and cost-effective solution for monitoring liquid flow. Using thermal dispersion technology, they detect flow by measuring the temperature difference between a heated and a non-heated sensor probe. As liquid passes, it cools the heated probe, reducing the temperature gap. This method works well with fluids ranging from 0.4 to 1.2 specific gravity and 1 to 300 cp viscosity. These switches detect very low flow rates—down to 0.04 FPS—and handle pulsating flow from 10 to 100 pulses per minute. With no moving parts, the FST-200 offers high reliability and long service life. It suits pipe and tubing sizes from 1/8″ to 12″, making it ideal for pump and valve monitoring in critical applications.
