The Kestrel Rotating Vane Mount & Carry Case upgrades any Kestrel 5000 Series meter into a portable, tripod-ready weather monitoring station. This rugged mount features a precision-engineered wind vane and pivot, keeping your meter aligned into the wind for continuous and accurate logging of wind speed, direction, and key weather parameters.
Built for performance, the one-piece boom offers greater stability, while the improved mounting system ensures secure retention of your Kestrel device. The integrated clip also functions as a ¼-20 bracket, allowing flexible mounting options such as extension poles for airflow measurement.
Pair it with a Kestrel with LiNK to monitor real-time readings remotely using the Kestrel LiNK app—up to 300 ft away (line of sight).
Designed for maximum portability, the entire mount and pouch weigh just 295 grams (10.5 oz) and measure only 2.5 x 3 x 8.5 inches. It features a loop for spare AA batteries and a rear strap to attach the kit to a belt or backpack.
