The Major Tech MT980 is a professional refrigerant (halogen) leak detector built to quickly and accurately locate leaks in air conditioning and refrigeration systems. It detects all CFC refrigerants such as R-22, R-124, R-11 and R-12, along with the more difficult-to-detect HFC refrigerants including R-134a, R-404A, R-410A and R-407C.
An ultra-sensitive, long-life semiconductor sensor picks up leaks down to 100 ppm, while the 400 mm flexible gooseneck probe reaches awkward, confined spaces. One-handed operation with a thumb-controlled adjustable tick rate lets technicians zero in on a leak fast — the tick accelerates and the LED indicators light as the probe nears the source. A built-in earphone jack makes it easy to use in noisy environments.
Rugged and fully portable, the MT980 is ideal for HVAC/R service technicians, refrigeration engineers and maintenance teams. Supplied with a carrying case and instruction manual.
